Born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, Dr. Hertz considers it a privilege to practise Internal Medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree at York University and medical doctorate at Queen’s University, he moved out west to complete his residency at the University of British Columbia.
Inspired by the beautiful west coast mountains and outdoor lifestyle, Dr. Hertz committed to creating a practice and life on the North Shore and is currently a key member of the Internal Medicine Team at Lions Gate Hospital.
Passionate about understanding the complex body as a whole, Dr. Hertz will work with you and your health care team to create a plan of care that is right for you!
Work life balance.
When Dr. Hertz isn’t working, his is travelling with his wife to countries that have mountains to hike and noteworthy restaurants. His love for being in nature and discovering new culinary delights were two of the reasons why he decided to stay on the West Coast and create a life here in North Vancouver. On the more normal and less exciting days, you will find Dr. Hertz cycling the local mountains, watching Jeopardy and wandering the waterfront with his eight year old puppy Wallis.
“Travelling has the power to heal and transform.”
